1: what genre does Project Tank belong to?
A: Project Tank is a U3D Third Person Shooter webgame developed by Changyou based on independent research and development. The armored vehicles themed game is Changyou’s first try. PT inherits the functional features of the previous online games. In addition to various innovations, multiple basic functions and ways to play are added to the game.PT is designed to meet the diverse pursuit of the players and strive to be perfect both in visual and operational experience.

2:What are the system requirements?
A: Minimum system requirements CPU: P4 800 MHZ (or better).
Display: above 12 inches, image resolution is no less than 1024 * 768 (support widescreen or better).
Graphics: Geforce2 MX 400/512M (or better).
RAM: 1 GB (or more).
Space available on HDD: larger than 2G. You need to install the Unity web player4.0

3: What operation systems do Project Tank support?
A: Project Tank supports Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista system.

4: What is the total amount of tanks so far? Will it increase or remain the same?
A: Currently, PT features about 60 vehicles including D series and S series. As planned, when other series of tanks are added in the game, the total number will over 200 in the near future.

5: What types of armored vehicles are presented in Project Tank?
A: At present, PT features armored vehicles from D series to S series that were produced and designed starting from early 30’s and up to the Korean War. Apart from real tanks such as light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks, anti-tank destroyers, IS 7 (the S series) and E series (the D series) are also available.

6: How to play light tanks?
A: First of all, light tanks are indispensable as scouting units. Secondly, their high mobility allows light tanks to reveal hostile units on the battlefield and transfer coordinates of the enemy’s to teammates. Third, they are most effective in close battles against rival light tanks.

7: How to play medium tanks?
A: Medium tanks not only have good mobility, the firepower is also relatively better compared to light tanks. Noted as the "master" in the battlefield, it is suitable for catching enemy's defensive weakness to break through and to support team timely.

8: How to play heavy tanks?
A: With powerful weapons and thick armor, heavy tanks are especially suitable for frontline battlefield. They act as the backbone in the battlefield by breaching and storming enemy citadel. But be careful, don't give enemy chances to attack your side and rear armor.

9: How to play anti-tank destroyers?
A: The direct firepower of anti-tank destroyers is the strongest in all types of tanks, the shortage being inconvenience as lack of battery, so the artillery is able to turn the angles only relying on body rotation. Armor is not as good as heavy tanks. Therefore, it is very suitable for acting as the "sniper" role to give enemy a blow in the rear.

10: How difficult is the Project Tank?
A: Tanks in the game are modeled on real tanks completely. It is easy to get start and don't take much time to learn how to control. The main difficulty lies in the tactical skills and how to cooperate with teammates.

11: How to start to combat?
A: After registering, players enter into individual garages to select their own tanks. If the tank is not damaged and not in the fight, then click "Battle" button right below the interface, waiting for other players to fight.

12: How realistic is Project Tank?
A: The game keeps the balance between realism and gameplay. Tanks in the game are modeled on the real D series and S series to bring authentic visual impact.

13: How long does an average battle last?
A: Generally, an average battle takes 5 to 15 minutes, if at the end of 15 minutes there are tanks of both teams on the battlefield or neither of the bases has been captured, a tie is declared.

14: What is the camera model? How to control it?
A: The main mode is third person view with surrounding scales of remoteness from your tank and possibility to freely rotate the camera around the vehicle. The game also adopts the sniper mode for tanks and the "howitzers" mode for long-range artillery. Moving your tank is implemented by standard WSAD+Mouse controls. There is also a "cruise control" mode for going forward and backward on various speeds which can be engaged by R and F buttons.

15: Is camouflage supported?
A: All the tanks and anti-tank destroyers have certain invisibility points . Moving and shooting will decrease it. In the later stage, we will add forest and bush in the game to provide camouflage. Also camouflage uniform would be added to increase the function of invisibility points.

16: Do all the teams possess armored vehicles of the same series?
A: Before fighting, the system will distribute tanks randomly according to the tank`s level to make two teams well-matched. This means every team will have tanks of different series.

17: Can I use machine guns in the game?
A: Tanks do have machine guns installed on it, but it`s no need to use them. Because machine guns are equipped to kill infantry, there are no infantry in the game for the present. Whether there will be infantry, we will decide after further analyzing.

18: What are the artilleries that can be chosen?
A: Player can choose AP, AOCR, APHE and HE artilleries.

19: How to replace and supplement artilleries?
A: In the garage, click the left mouse button to “Service” in the toolbar .Player could see the artilleries that can be equipped. During fighting, click numeric key to replace artilleries.

20: How to increase tanks` fighting power?  How to upgrade accessories like artillery and turret.
A: Artillery and turret can be upgraded and equiped through analyzing and purchasing accessories of higher level. Player can gain experience points and silver coins in every battle. The experience points can be uesd to analyze artillery and turret, silver coins can be used to buy them.

21: What is a crash?
A: Crash is an indispensible factor in the game. The effect of the crash rest with the tanks` speed, armour value, the place that hit etc. A commonly scene is a light tank hit a heavy one, but it is the light one that smashed. Player can badger the enemy to distract its attention, thus make condition for teammates` attack.

22: If my tank was destroyed, can I switch to “Free Camera” mode to watch the fighting?
A: Yes, player can watch team-mates who are still in battle.

23: How does the payment system work in Project Tank?
A: Through destroying enemies, player gains silver coins; through purchasing for real money, player can buy gold coins which might get rewards, but they are not decisive in the game.

24: Does the losing side also get silver coins after a battle?
A: Yes, but they will get less than the winning side.

25: What should I do when I cannot puncture enemies` armor?
A: It happens that player cannot puncture enemies` armor thus cause little damage to them. Under this condition, player can make a detour and go to the enemies` flank or back as the armor value of these sides are relatively lower.

26:What would happen after the track is broken?
A: During fighting, the track can be hit and broken by enermies, then the player`s movement is retarded, but it would be gradually repaired automatically. Using supplies can quickly repair broken track.

27: What is the most commonly used map size in the game? What`s are the reasons for choosing it?
A: In the current version, the map size is 800*800 as the 800m*800m to the real world. Using this size, player can discover enemies quickly without costing too much time in running, and player has enough space to use Maneuver Tactics or lay out the formation of tanks, such as ambushing or besieging from the flanks.

28: Are there any breakable elements on battlefields? How can destroying such elements influence the course of a battle?
A: There are several elements that can be destroyed. And this can have either positive or negative influence on fighting. For example, player could perforate a wall in front and treat it as “shooting hole”. However, the player could also be exposed if the wall is destroyed by the enemy when hiding behind it.

29: In Project Tank, there are maps named after the points of historic battles. Are these maps identical to those areas?
A: It`s really hard to make a virtual map identical to its prototype. No demand for balancing in real battles makes it even harder. So the maps which have historical backgrounds couldn`t be completely identical to actual geographic locations. But they are designed with extensive usage of photos and landscape schemes to reproduce actual battlefields utmost.

30: What are the accessories/equipments of tanks? How to use them?
A: The accessories include turret, artillery, body of the tank, track, engine and radio device. In the interface of garage, click “Research” in the toolbar, and player can see tank accessories` development and using condition in the interface popped out. By analyzing and buying, player could use the accessories.

31:What are development trees?
A: The development trees are the way the player upgrades the accessories of tank, thus obtain more powerful tanks. The tanks of very country have its particular development tree, the light tank, medium tank, heavy tank and anti-tank destroyer, too. Player would possess the desirable tank if developed according to the development tree.

32: How to upgrade the tank? What development stages will it go through for upgrading the tank to a higher level? Can I switch to a parallel development branch if considering the chosen one wrong?
A: Player can upgrade the tank to any level exists in Project Tank in accordance with the development tree. Player starts with the lightest and cheapest tank. Through gaining experience points, player can buy and setup the equipments of higher level. This involves a phenomenon in the growth process of tank, namely, when player possesses some equipment of higher level tanks, he/she can start the developing process. Since there are cross-branch in the upgrade path, player could restart developing from the junction of the branches if he/she think the upgrade path chosen was wrong, however, this would delay the developing speed.

33:Can I store more than one tank in my garage?
A: In the beginning, a player1s personal garage is allowed to store up to 3 tanks which are from different countries. I.e. player can keep American, German and Soviet Union tanks simultaneously with the right to use them anytime. In addition, player could buy garage slots thus possess more tanks.

How to get more exp?

You said that gold wasnt decisve in the game but It is because thats the only way you can exchange your gold!Is there any other way?

Gold helps with the grind, and it's far more valuable in this game so far. The developers will need to make money at the end of the day as well, however, you don't need to spend an ounce of money in order to play the game, it will simply take longer to get to where you aim to be.
