Hell's Realm Boss Guide


This is a collaboration of myself and some of the NG’s, Malucifer and e2thepi, who helped put this together, big thanks to them. This guide should give you some basic stats and general strats for the boss, and then you can post if you find some more nice methods to beat it, enjoy! – blind

Hells Realm (Hard) Stats:
199hp, 63 cards

Hells Realm (Normal) Stats:
166hp, 51 cards

Enemy Units (images show units on Hard Difficulty):
First Wave -
Hellish Imp, Filthy Imp, Jaraax the Tormentor

Second Wave -
Succubus, Succubus Whisperer, Lilith the Betrayer

Third Wave -
Baphomet the Reaper


Boss Skills:

Black Death (x7 Hard, x6 Normal) -
All enemy creatures take 20 shadow damage at the end of each turn
What’s Yours is Mine (x3 Hard, x2 Normal) –
Copy a random creature card from all heroes hands and put it into your hand
A Helping Hand (x1 Hard, x1 Normal) –
Decreases the countdown of each card in boss’s hand by 3
Bad Blood (x2 Hard, x2 Normal) –
Target creature gains: Explosive Curse 10, upon dying deals 10 shadow damage to all adjacent creatures and heroes.
Fleeting (x1 Hard, x0 Normal) –
All boss’s creatures gain +3 Attack +1 movement for 1 turn (like swift raid)

Main Strategies:

1) Quick Kill: King’s Mausoleum Method / Heavens Rapture Method.

Key Cards:

Sylvi Bladesoul / Sensei Calista (or experiment with other units that build attack)
Blessing: Sanctuary
Command: Heroic
Dispel
Tips:

•This boss actually has no direct damage skills, only curses, and half the units will walk through your attacker, so KM should be no problem. However, you will need lots of dispel to remove damage curses before they kill your attacker. Even with Sanc you will need dispel.
•Avoid bringing vig/backstab if you are KMing, since the boss can dopple them and use them on your attacker.

2) Normal Power:

Key Cards

Desperate Soul (invincible to boss spells)
Dispel
Ryli (barrier)
Refuge
Repulse
(but many cards can work, just experiment)
Tips:

•Demons not too strong but high in hp, best to block lanes by spamming units till u can get refuge or ryli or other blockers in place.
•Desperate Soul is great since it is immune to all of the curse skills of the boss.
•Watch out for the Fleeting spell on hard difficulty: the movement from the mass swift raid can get imps past your blockers.
•For attackers: dread knights can be good, even epic knights since imps will just pass through them.

boss fights

Why is it you keep rolling out new boss fights with the primary way to win based around having to play with priests and Sancs?   

Imo your making the game un balanced and un fair by making players dependent on one skill card and one specific hero type.   This makes it much harder for players to do the boss fights and collect the rewards.

priest is the worst class in pvp..if even at bosses priest suck nobody will play priest
you can think of as a healer class. without healer can a hitter kill top level boss units in any game? unless that game is very poorly designed.

wanna excel in boss and get respect? Priest
wanna excel in PvP? Ranger
wanna excel in ascension tower? Mage
wanna troll? Warrior

Here are two tested methods for beating the boss. Both require at least 2 priests, unfortunately.

Fast method: Sylvi Rush
Requires: 2 priests, 1 warrior, 1 other (ideally another warrior)

Priest:
- 15 cards only!
- 3x Sylvi Protege
- 3x Dispel
- 3x Inspire
- 3x Zeal
- Optional: Refuge, Smite
- Unicorns as fillers

Warrior:
- 15 cards only!
- 3x Sylvi Protege
- 3x Encourage
- 3x Command: Heroic
- Optional: Slash
- Unicorns as fillers

Other:
- 15 cards only!
- 3x Sylvi Protege
- Field control and removal skills
- Unicorns as fillers

Strategy:
Summon Sylvi Proteges as quickly as possible, buffed with Heroic and Encourage. Sanctuary is often not required as the creatures pass through each other. Multiple Sylvis can be summoned to inflict more damage on the boss. Use Dispel to remove any shadow damage curse on the Sylvis. Removal skills are not necessary if there are two warriors on the team. The warrior should bring a lean deck for fast skill draws.

This method doesn't give you the maximum event points, so best use it after you have completed the quest.

Slow method: Heroic Crossbow
Requires: 3 priests, 1 other

Priest:
- 15 cards only!
- 3x Repeating Crossbow Captain
- 3x Dispel
- 3x Inspire
- 1-2x Zeal
- 3x Blessing: Armor
- 1-2x Blessing: Resistance
- Optional: Smite, Refuge, Blessing: Sanctuary

Other:
- 15 cards only!
- 3x Repeating Crossbow Captain
- Optional: Ryli the White Witch, Yumi Swiftshot, Battle Abbess, Goddess of Light
- Field control and removal skills

Strategy:
Summon one or two Repeating Crossbow Captains in front of three adjacent players. Priests must bring a lot of Inspire and Zeal to get the RCCs out before the horde overruns your frontline. The combination of the Vigilance and +2 Range abilities means that the RCCs will stay close together, allowing the priests to use Dispel more efficiently. Keep the RCCs alive as they build up their attack. Protect the RCCs with Armor (early game) and Resistance (late game). The unprotected lane (if not already taken care of by Vigilance) can be blocked off using field-control skills or Ryli. Removal skills should be used on the more problematic creatures, namely Jaraax, Lilith, and Baphomet.
